Preparing a layout for printing in Photoshop takes little time and does not require special knowledge. You only need to follow these steps in sequence:
First, you need to check whether the selected layout format complies with prepress standards. If necessary, change the image size. To do this, click on the Image button in the menu, and then on Image size . For example, a business card should be 92x52 mm in size, and the resolution should be 300 dpi.
Next, you should check the selected mode. This can be done through the Mode function in the Image section. Make sure that the CMYK and 8-bit checkboxes are checked there .
After this, you will need to merge the image layers. Select Layer , then Flatten .
Save the file in the desired format. It is advisable to choose TIFF . When saving, uncheck the Layers and ICC profile items .
ClickSave (without image compression).
